Captain Lewis Mortlock gallantly defending his Majesty's Sloop of War Wolverene of 12 Guns & 63 Men, against the united attack of Two French Luggers, one of 14 and the other of 16 guns & 140 Men each, near Boulogne Jan 3rd 1799

Captain Lewis Mortlock subsequently died of wounds sustained.
